The Arctic has become one of the most geopolitically and environmentally sensitive regions of the planet. As the ice recedes and new maritime routes, economic opportunities, and security challenges emerge, the region’s global relevance grows exponentially. Yet, from the shores of Southern Europe, the Arctic remains a distant but crucial mirror — reflecting not only the transformations of the planet’s climate but also the tensions between sustainability, sovereignty, and energy transition that shape today’s world.
